Each year we take turns on where we spend Christmas. This year was our turn to stay in The Netherlands, but we decided to squeeze in a visit to Scotland early in December to spend a couple days with my family in the holiday period too.

I have a love for the city of Amsterdam. So when my Dutchie suggested staying for a weekend for his birthday, I couldn’t say no.
Amsterdam is seriously full of so many things to do and see. You can not get bored in this city.
Hundreds of museums to choose from, boat trips, tastings, bike rentals, you name it, Amsterdam has it.

I had the pleasure of attending my first Dutch wedding this weekend, and my experience prompted me to get back into blogging after my little break!

My First Shopping Trip Alone
If you have been lucky enough to find a job before moving over, your first shopping trip alone might not happen for a while. But if you are unlucky, like me, your first trip will come sooner. My lovely boyfriend took a week off to get me settled in, but those days flew by and before I knew it I was alone!
